Floor experts, not a call center
The person who measures your rooms works for the same company as the person who lays the floor. That sounds obvious. It is not how most of the industry works any more, and it is the single biggest reason jobs go wrong.
Fifty-five years on the same road
Holland Floor Covering opened in 1971 and has been family owned ever since. We are on Newport Highway in Sevierville, which means you can walk in, put your hands on the material, and talk to somebody who will still be here when the job is done.
That matters more than it sounds. Flooring is one of the few things in a house that you cannot judge from a photograph. Carpet feels different under your hand than it looks on a screen. Hardwood changes color completely depending on whether your windows face north or south. We would rather you took a sample home and lived with it for a day.
What we do ourselves
We measure, we order, and our own crew installs. There is no subcontractor introduced halfway through, nobody to blame if something is short, and one number to call if anything needs putting right.
- Free measuring and estimates anywhere in Sevier County
- Tear-out and disposal of the old floor
- Subfloor preparation — the part nobody sees and everybody feels
- Carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile and laminate installation
- Tiled showers and kitchen backsplashes
Residential and commercial
About half our work is houses. The rest is churches, offices, storefronts and rental property — including a lot of cabins, where the floor has to survive a new set of suitcases every weekend. We are used to working around a booking calendar.
Common questions
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Measuring and quoting is free anywhere in Sevier County, and there is no obligation to buy afterwards.
Do you use subcontractors?
Our own crew does the installation. That is the whole point of buying from a store that installs rather than one that only sells.
Can you take away the old flooring?
Yes. Tear-out and disposal are quoted with the job so there is no surprise at the end.
How long does an installation take?
Most single rooms are a day. A whole house is usually two to four days depending on the material and how much subfloor work it needs. We will give you a real number with the estimate.
